According to a blog post from Google, Google one app offers free phone backup for Android devices even if you don’t have a subscription to the service, and for the iOS users, the company is introducing a new iOS app which will let you store photos, videos, contacts, and calendar events with Google. The backup feature is convenient and users don’t need to worry about data when the device gets damaged, your data is safe in the cloud. And more important you don’t need to take care of backing up data, this all process is automatic and free. Google is always progressive in improving and enhancing its services. Moreover, Google is also launching a storage manager which will be available in both the mobile app as well as online. This storage manager will also allow users to delete the files from all the platforms supported by Google One including Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos to free up space. Google offers 15GB of free data with one Google account and then the company charges $1.99/month for 100GB of storage. If you found 15GB is insufficient for you while 100GB is too much, so Google also offers you to split/share the storage plan with five members. All the changes are rolling out on the Play Store for Android devices, and the iOS app will be available soon. This feature of automatic free phone backup is only available for consumer accounts not for the G Suite business customers.
