iOS 16.1.1 Lock Screen Weather Widget not working
In this regard, many users who had recently installed the latest iOS 16.1.1 update have reported that the Lock Screen Weather Widget is not working along the expected lines on their iPhones. While it doesn’t update for some, for others it is completely missing. Some are reportedly getting the ‘Weather unavailable’ error message whereas others are getting a grey bar where the weather used to be displayed. All in all, it’s all messed up in this domain.
The issue is prevalent in iOS 16 Beta as well
If we turn our attention toward the beta build, then they aren’t spared from this issue either. Even the users of the latest iOS 16.2 beta 3 update have voiced their concern about this issue. So this brings us to the all-important question- is there a fix? Let’s check it out.
Is there a fix?
Well, as far as the workarounds are concerned, users have already tried restarting their device and disabling/re-enabling the location permission for this widget, but none of them spelled out success. Moreover, as far as the official stance on this matter is concerned, the developers are yet to acknowledge this issue, let alone give out any ETA for the rollout of a fix. As and when any of these two things happen, we will update this guide accordingly.
